Non-traditional wedding

Last Friday we had the chance to make 2 big cakes for a fabulous wedding! It kept us busy but both cakes were fun and not your average wedding cake. The wedding cake was a 4 tier chocolate cake, filled with ganache & caramel, and frosted with dark chocolate buttercream and covered with dark chocolate fondant. It had ivory color accents with silver dragees down one side to tie in the cake topper.

The Groom's cake was a Super Mario Brothers themed castle, complete with Princess Peach and Mario! Top tier is carrot cake with cream cheese filling. Second tier is white cake with strawberry filling, and the bottom tier is lemon cake with lemon filling.
The reception was held in the Stuekle Sky Center that overlooked all of Boise and the BSU Stadium. It all was very beautiful! Thanks to Nate and Jamie.

Seriously! These are SO good! I would love to come watch you work your magic sometime...you have got skills! Hudson's brithday is in a few weeks, and he wants a "fishing for alligators" birthday cake....wish me luck with that one!!
